SVG downloads are traced from the font outlines; in a few styles some joins may look slightly different from the PNG.

Your name and your drawing stay in this browser. Nothing is saved or sent to a server.

How to use it

  1. Type or draw your signature Type your name to see it in dozens of signature styles, or switch tabs to draw it with your finger, a stylus or the mouse.
  2. Adjust ink, size and slant Pick the ink color, size, slant and whether the background is white or transparent.
  3. Download as PNG or SVG Tap Download PNG or Download SVG on the style you like. Your name and strokes never leave the browser.

Ideas for choosing your signature

This signature generator shows your name written by hand in 30 different styles, from flowing calligraphy full of loops to quick, ballpoint-style scribbles. Change the ink color, size and slant until it feels like you, or switch to the drawing tab and sign with your finger, a stylus or a mouse. Every signature downloads as a PNG with a transparent or white background, or as an SVG you can scale up without losing quality. Use it for an email footer, a presentation, a greeting card or simply to practice a new signature. Everything happens in your browser, so your name is never saved or sent anywhere.

Where to use it and what to keep in mind

A signature image works well in emails, slide decks, Word, Google Docs and designs. Contracts, banking and tax forms usually require a handwritten or certified electronic signature, so don't use it as a substitute. The styles use fonts released under the SIL Open Font License. If you share your signature as an image, also include your name as text for people using screen readers.

Frequently asked questions

Is this signature legally binding?

A signature image adds a personal touch to emails, informal documents and designs, but it isn't the same as a certified electronic signature. If a contract or official form needs a signature, check what the organization accepts.

How do I download my signature with a transparent background?

Choose “Transparent” under Background and tap PNG on the style you like. The file has no background, so you can place it on top of a document or image.

What's the difference between PNG and SVG?

A PNG is a high-resolution image you can paste almost anywhere. An SVG is a vector file, so it scales to any size without getting blurry, which is handy for design or print.

Can I draw my signature on my phone?

Yes. In “Draw your signature,” sign with your finger or a stylus; Undo removes the last stroke and Clear lets you start over. As you draw, seven variants of your own strokes appear (slanted, smoother, bold marker, with a flourish and more) that you can download or use as a starting point.

Is my name or signature stored anywhere?

No. The previews and downloads are created on your device and nothing is sent to a server. When you close the page, your name and drawing are gone.
